Mercy Rehabilitation

The road to recovery and self-sufficiency after suffering a catastrophic illness or injury can be a long and difficult one, especially when a patient is elderly. Through a holistic care plan, Mercy focuses on helping patients regain their fullest potential and maximum independence.

In 1974, Mercy became a model of rehabilitation and therapy services. Today, Mercy offers several rehabilitation programs:

Patients benefit from Mercy’s comprehensive rehabilitation by transitioning seamlessly through various stages of recovery - from inpatient to outpatient rehabilitation. Mercy’s approach to skilled nursing care results in the area’s shortest inpatient stays. Mercy has dedicated and fully equipped therapeutic facilities in Mobile and Baldwin counties.

Patients include those who have experienced spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, multiple trauma, strokes, orthopedic conditions, cardiopulmonary (heart and lung) disease, neurological disorders, wound care and other debilitating conditions.

Mercy Medical encourages family support in the healing process and educates patients and their families to effectively cope with the limitations imposed by their illness or injury. Mercy’s care is compassionate, competent and vital for South Alabama.
