On Saturday, April 18, 2009, from 9 am to 12 noon, Mercy Medical is sponsoring a community education program called What you need to know about… women’s cancers. What you need to know about… will be a series of upcoming educational programs for the public. The first program will be at the Christian Life Center, Fairhope United Methodist Church (FUMC), at 155 South Section Street in Fairhope. Hosted by the “Tough Dogs” Cancer Support Group of FUMC, the program will provide important information about gynecologic and breast cancer presented by William J. Roy. Jr. MD, Medical Director, GYN Oncology Cancer Center at Providence Hospital and Michael Meshad, M.D., president of Southern Cancer Center. Light refreshments will be served.
