Santa Claus Visits Mercy’s long-term care residents
December 16, 2008

Evelyn Jalley and Santa discuss her Christmas wish list.

Mae Oma Reynolds and Santa have a jolly laugh together.

Mercy Medicals long-term care residents enjoy the spirit of the holidays with a visit from Santa. Mercy Medical has been a leader among healthcare providers on the Gulf Coast since 1949, when the Sisters of Mercy founded Villa Mercy in Daphne, Ala. Mercy Medical is a healthcare continuum that provides services in acute rehabilitation, skilled nursing care, long-term care, home health, hospice, assisted living, lifecare retirement, and memory care.

Santa, played by John Dorgan of Fairhope, surprises Ana Maria Baralt with sweet treats and Christmas cheer. Dorgan is a long-time Mercy Hospice volunteer as well as a member of Santa America, a national volunteer service organization with more than one-hundred Santas across America. Through Santa America, Santa visits children and families twelve months a year, bringing love, hope and joy in a loving visit.
