Mercy Medical's annual Charity Golf Tournament is one of this area's oldest and most popular charity golf tournaments and we invite you to help us as we raise funds to support our neediest patients. During 2009 Mercy Medical spent over $430,000 in unreimbursed charity healthcare costs, and gave an additional $604,000 in beneficial service value to this community. The total value of $1,036,611 was given by Mercy to supplement the healthcare needs of Mobile and Baldwin County residents. Your generous sponsorship or donation to our 24th Annual Charity Golf Tournament will help us help those who must depend on the charity of others to meet their healthcare needs.

Highlights of this year's event include the popular PGA Tour-style merchant area and golfers will have a great opportunity to visit with representatives and learn more about their favorite golf products and services during lunch. This year's "flights" will give all players a better chance of winning awards and our tradition of excellent team prizes will continue with packages including golf and meals for the winning teams in both the morning and afternoon shotgun starts. The bundled individual player entry fee of $175 includes lunch, practice range balls, greens fee, cart fee, beverages on the course, post-tournament refreshments, great prizes, as well as two mulligans, and the opportunity for each team to select a hole (par 3 holes excluded) on which they will have the added benefit of hitting from the ladies' tee. Each player will also receive a high-end golf shirt as a player gift and other benefits. Tournament format is a four-person scramble.

Morning registration opens at 6:45 a.m. with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m., followed by morning awards, lunch and merchant visits. Registration for the afternoon tee-time begins at 11 a.m., with lunch and merchant visits before the 1 p.m. shotgun start. An awards presentation with refreshments concludes the day.
